Mardi Gras Dance 2016

Alright! You went to the Mardi Gras Dance, and you enjoyed it! So you agree that it was worth $2.00.

The Dance Floor

Now, there were a lot of 6th, 7th and 8th graders hitting the dance floor when songs like the Cha Cha Slide, Watch Me Whip, Hit the Quan, Lean and Dab, and Follow the Leader came on. Dang… everybody was into it. The 8th grade girls especially. They were singing their lungs out and everybody in the front was singing. Jumping like crazy and waving their hands in the air like they just don’t care. I saw one kid had tissue in his ears. One song after another… “What do you Mean, Hotline Bling, Uptown Funk, and Cheerleader.”

Wait… Costumes?

You have seen some people wearing masks and party dresses. The masks look like you are at a festival or party. Anyway, break time! Had some of that pasta, popcorn and hot dog! It was delicious and then I got right back into the groove!

The End is Near…

There’s a great disturbance in the force… Oh no! The end is near…

In other words… basically the dance is coming to an end!!! I’d say around 7:30 pm we were all notified that we had to call our parents now. I was sad that the dance was almost over, but I was actually happy because I needed to sit down. My legs were killing me!!! Anyway, I think that overall the dance was a huge success.

Special Thanks…

Alright now… We all know that this would not have happened without our wonderful, terrific, fantastic, amazing, and awesome PTA!!! Give them a round of applause! Standing ovation!!! Clap! Clap! Clap! But we all know we can not do that now because we are probably eating lunch or something. Okay now… let’s thank DJ Ron!!! Clap! Clap! Clap! This was his last dance as DJ for our school. He was our DJ for our school for three years. I know we will all miss him, and we thank him for his service.
